About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant Fire and Security Systems Installer to join their dedicated team in Brighton . This role is essential for the safe and effective installation of state-of-the-art fire detection, alarm, and security systems for residential and commercial clients throughout East Sussex . You will be responsible for the complete installation process, from wiring and component fitting to initial system configuration and testing, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety standards. The ideal candidate possesses a strong technical aptitude, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to providing reliable safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and wire fire alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm panels.
• Mount and connect detection devices, cameras, control panels, and associated hardware.
• Program and configure installed systems according to project designs and client requirements.
• Conduct thorough system testing and commissioning to ensure full functionality and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues arising during the installation process.
• Maintain accurate installation records and provide end-user training where necessary.

Requirements

• Proven experience in installing fire and security systems.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 7858).
• Ability to read and interpret system designs, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools used in electrical installations.
• A valid UK driving license is essential for travel within the Brighton area.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
