Job Description
We are recruitingforan experienced Fire Safety Managerto join a leading Social Housing provider based inKingston upon Thamessupporting property services across the local region on a one year fixed term contract.
What’s on offer:
- Salary: £60,000
- Contract: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract
- Working pattern: Full-time – 35 hours per week
- Working arrangement: Hybrid working 2 to 3 days in the office

Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and oversee the Group’s fire safety programmes across its residential property portfolio.
- Carry out fire safety inspections, surveys and audits, ensuring risks are identified and appropriately managed.
- Work closely with Property Managers to ensure Fire Risk Assessment recommendations and remedial actions are completed.
- Prepare specifications, monitor works on site and undertake quality assurance inspections.
- Manage contracts, variations and Contract Instructions where required.
- Ensure all fire safety, building safety, statutory and regulatory obligations are identified and progressed.
- Keep up to date with changes to fire safety legislation, guidance and regulatory requirements.
The successful Fire Safety Manager will have:
- Strong knowledge and experience of Fire Risk Assessments and fire safety compliance.
- Experience managing fire safety contractors and external consultants.
- Strong understanding of fire safety legislation and regulations.
- Experience delivering fire safety remedial, major works or compliance programmes.
- A recognised Fire Safety qualification or Building safety qualification
- Strong project, contract and budget management skills.
- Experience working within a residential or social housing environment.
This role would suit an experienced Fire Safety Manager, Fire Safety Project Manager or Senior Fire Safety professional looking for a one-year fixed-term opportunity with a reputable Social Housing organisation.
