Job Description
School First Aider - Telford
Location: Telford
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced First Aider to work within a school in Telford, providing first aid and welfare support to pupils and staff throughout the school day.
The successful candidate will hold a valid, in-date First Aid qualification and ideally have previous experience working in a school or similar setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing first aid to pupils and staff when required
- Responding appropriately to accidents, injuries and illness
- Assessing and treating minor injuries in line with your level of training
- Maintaining accurate records of first aid incidents
- Supporting pupils who become unwell during the school day
- Contacting parents/carers where necessary and following school procedures
- Ensuring first aid supplies are appropriately maintained
- Working closely with school staff to promote pupil health, safety and wellbeing
- Maintaining confidentiality and following safeguarding procedures
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds a valid and in-date First Aid qualification
- Previous First Aid experience is essential
- Previous school or education experience would be desirable
- Calm and confident when dealing with emergencies
