About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fitness and Wellness Manager to lead their comprehensive health and fitness facilities in Stoke-on-Trent . This position is central to creating and delivering innovative fitness programs, managing the fitness team, and ensuring an exceptional experience for members. You will be responsible for driving membership engagement, overseeing fitness operations, and promoting a holistic approach to health and well-being within the community. This role requires a passionate leader committed to health, fitness, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and market a diverse range of fitness classes, personal training programs, and wellness initiatives.
• Manage, train, and motivate the fitness team, including personal trainers and fitness instructors.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fitness centre, ensuring equipment is maintained, and facilities are kept to high standards.
• Drive membership sales and retention strategies, focusing on customer engagement and satisfaction.
• Monitor industry trends and implement new fitness and wellness offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
• Manage the fitness department budget, ensuring profitability and efficient resource allocation.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in fitness management or a senior fitness leadership role.
• Relevant fitness certifications (e.g., Level 3 Personal Training) and/or a degree in a related field.
• Proven track record in sales, membership retention, and program development.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of current fitness trends, equipment, and health and safety regulations.
