Fitness Centre Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-driven and passionate Fitness Centre Manager to lead their state-of-the-art fitness facility in Sunderland . This role is responsible for the overall operational success of the centre, including staff management, member satisfaction, sales, and financial performance. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fitness centre, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and member experience.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and manage the performance of fitness instructors, personal trainers, and front-of-house staff.
• Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones.
• Manage the centre's budget, control expenses, and drive revenue generation through memberships, personal training, and other services.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
• Develop and deliver a diverse range of fitness classes and programmes to meet member needs and market trends.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a fitness facility or a significant role within the leisure industry (minimum 3 years).
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability in sales, marketing, and budget management within the fitness sector.
• A recognized qualification in Fitness Instruction and Personal Training (e.g., Level 3 or higher).
• Excellent understanding of fitness trends, equipment, and programming.
