Fitness Instructor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated and qualified Fitness Instructor to join their team at a leading health and fitness centre in Cambridge . This role involves creating and delivering engaging fitness programmes, providing excellent customer service to members, and maintaining a clean and safe gym environment. You will conduct gym inductions, offer personalized exercise advice, and help members achieve their fitness goals. The ideal candidate is passionate about health and fitness, possesses strong communication skills, and is dedicated to promoting an active lifestyle within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality fitness inductions and personalized exercise programmes to members.
• Provide ongoing support and motivation to members, ensuring they achieve their fitness objectives.
• Monitor gym floor activity, ensuring a safe and effective workout environment for all users.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the gym and fitness areas.
• Assist with the promotion of club services, classes, and membership drives.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in fitness instruction.

Requirements

• Certification as a Fitness Instructor (e.g., Level 2 or equivalent qualification).
• Knowledge of exercise principles, anatomy, and physiology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to motivate and engage clients of varying fitness levels.
• First Aid certification is essential.
• Experience in a customer-facing role is advantageous.
