About the Role

Our client is looking for a dynamic individual to take on the role of Fleet Manager & Driver Support in Wolverhampton . This role combines operational oversight of the vehicle fleet with direct support for the driving team, ensuring efficient logistics and driver well-being. You will be responsible for coordinating vehicle maintenance, managing schedules, and providing assistance to drivers to resolve on-road issues. This hybrid position requires a blend of administrative skill and practical understanding of transport operations, contributing to the seamless execution of delivery services.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the company's vehicle fleet, ensuring optimal utilization and performance.
• Schedule and coordinate regular vehicle maintenance, repairs, and MOTs to minimize downtime.
• Provide immediate support and troubleshooting assistance to drivers facing operational challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet mileage, fuel consumption, insurance, and compliance documentation.
• Assist in the planning and optimization of delivery routes and schedules for the driving team.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations related to fleet operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet management or a similar logistics coordination role.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and scheduling.
• Familiarity with transport regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, mechanics, and management.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential for on-site support and occasional driving duties.
