About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and organized Fleet Manager to oversee their transportation fleet operations in Liverpool . This critical role involves managing the entire lifecycle of the company's vehicles, ensuring compliance with all regulations, optimizing fleet performance, and controlling operational costs. You will be responsible for vehicle maintenance scheduling, driver management, and implementing strategies to enhance safety and efficiency across the fleet. Your expertise is crucial for maintaining a reliable and cost-effective transportation network for our client's operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the company's vehicle fleet, including scheduling, dispatch, and routing.
- Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance, repairs, and servicing to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards.
- Monitor fuel consumption and implement strategies to improve fuel efficiency.
- Manage driver performance, conduct training, and enforce company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of fleet assets, maintenance history, and operational expenses.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a senior transportation/logistics management role.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, fleet management software, and transportation regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and control operational costs effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.
