Fleet Operations Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced Fleet Operations Supervisor to join their logistics team in Norwich . This role involves overseeing the daily activities of the fleet, ensuring operational efficiency, vehicle maintenance, and driver compliance. You will provide guidance and support to the driving team, manage schedules, and ensure all transportation activities align with company standards and regulatory requirements. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds, combining essential on-site oversight with the flexibility of remote work for strategic planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fleet operations, including dispatch, routing, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor vehicle performance, maintenance records, and ensure all vehicles are roadworthy.
• Manage and support a team of drivers, providing guidance and conducting performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and transportation laws.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues, accidents, or customer complaints related to deliveries.
• Assist in the development and implementation of fleet management policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience in fleet operations supervision or a similar logistics management role.
• Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance , compliance, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing on-site and remote duties.
