Teaching Personnel is seeking adaptable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a flexible, day-to-day supply basis in primary schools.

This role is perfect for individuals who want to choose when and where they work , whether you are balancing other commitments, gaining experience across different schools, or returning to education and looking for flexibility.

You will have the opportunity to support pupils with high needs SEN in a variety of school settings, making a meaningful difference without the commitment of a full-time role.

The Role

As a flexible supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with high needs SEN
• Work across different primary schools, adapting quickly to new environments
• Support children with autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, and complex learning difficulties
• Assist teachers in delivering accessible and engaging lessons
• Help manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
• Follow guidance from class teachers and SENCOs to meet pupil needs
• Step into classrooms at short notice with confidence and a positive attitude

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for individuals who are:

• Experienced working with children or young people with SEN
• Confident, adaptable, and quick to build rapport
• Calm, patient, and resilient
• Comfortable working in different schools and classroom environments
• Passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs

Desirable:

• Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3)
• Experience with strategies such as Makaton, PECS, or sensory support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
