FMCG Merchandiser

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) market, is seeking an organized and proactive Merchandiser to join their field team covering the Wolverhampton area. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our client's products are prominently displayed, well-stocked, and attractively presented in retail stores across your designated territory. Your work is crucial in driving sales and maintaining brand visibility at the point of purchase. Key Responsibilities

• Implement planograms and visual merchandising guidelines to ensure optimal product placement and display in retail stores.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish shelves to prevent out-of-stock situations and maximize sales opportunities.
• Ensure product pricing, labeling, and promotional materials are accurate and up-to-date.
• Build positive relationships with store managers and staff to facilitate effective merchandising activities.
• Report on store conditions, competitor activities, and any merchandising issues encountered.
• Maintain product freshness and ensure adherence to all food safety and hygiene standards where applicable.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Merchandising or retail stock management role, preferably within the FMCG sector .
• Strong understanding of visual merchandising principles and planogram execution.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple retail locations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with store personnel.
• Ability to work independently and meet set targets for store visits and merchandising tasks.
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel within the Wolverhampton territory.
