About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced FMCG Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at their manufacturing facility in Sunderland . You will lead a team of production staff, ensuring that all manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and meet high-quality standards for our fast-moving consumer goods. This role is crucial for maintaining production schedules, optimizing resource allocation, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing principles within the FMCG industry and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the production team to ensure targets are met for volume, quality, and efficiency.
- Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety regulations and company quality standards on the production floor.
- Train, mentor, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Manage the efficient use of raw materials, equipment, and labor to optimize production costs.
- Maintain accurate production records and reporting, communicating performance metrics to management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or FMCG production environment.
- Solid understanding of production processes, quality control, and health & safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team effectively.
- Experience with production scheduling and performance monitoring.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
