About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organized and proactive FMCG Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimize the flow of goods within their extensive network in Southampton . This role is vital for ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of raw materials and finished products, maintaining efficiency from supplier to customer. You will work closely with logistics providers, warehouse teams, and production planners to streamline operations and enhance supply chain performance in the competitive fast-moving consumer goods market. This is a hands-on role within a critical department of a leading company.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
- Liaise with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of materials and finished goods.
- Track shipments and resolve any logistical issues or delays that may arise.
- Assist in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supply chain activities and performance metrics.
Requirements
- Experience in a supply chain , logistics, or operations role, preferably within the FMCG sector.
- Solid understanding of inventory management, warehousing, and transportation principles.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
