Food Technician
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Contract: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP / January 2027

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Food Technician to join a secondary school in the Corby area.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Food Technology department, ensuring practical lessons run smoothly and safely while helping students gain valuable culinary skills.
The Role:
- Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for Food Technology lessons.
- Supporting teachers and students during practical sessions.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment.
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies when required.
- Ensuring food hygiene and health and safety regulations are followed at all times.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment and workspaces after lessons.
- Assisting with displays, resources, and departmental administration where needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Has experience working within a food preparation, catering, hospitality, education, or similar environment.
- Has a good understanding of food hygiene and health and safety practices.
- Is organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Enjoys working with young people and supporting their learning.
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one through Tradewind Recruitment.
