We are currently recruiting for a Food Technician to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school based in Newham, East London .

The successful candidate will provide essential technical and practical support to the Food Technology department , helping teachers deliver engaging and effective practical lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients, equipment and resources for Food Technology lessons.
• Ensure kitchens, equipment and work areas are clean, safe and well maintained.
• Support teachers and students during practical food lessons.
• Monitor and maintain food stock and order supplies when required.
• Ensure appropriate health and safety, food hygiene and COSHH procedures are followed.
• Assist with the preparation and organisation of practical demonstrations and activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience working in a school, college, catering or food-related environment is desirable.
• Good knowledge of food preparation, hygiene and health & safety .
• Well organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Confident working with young people and supporting students in practical activities.
• A relevant Food Technology, Catering or Hospitality qualification would be advantageous.
