About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Foreman to join their construction team in Bradford . In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for supervising daily construction activities, leading a team of workers, and ensuring that tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards. You will play a vital role in coordinating site operations, maintaining quality control, and ensuring the smooth progression of projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson or supervisor looking to take on more responsibility and contribute to the success of projects in the Bradford area.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise daily work activities of construction crews, including labourers and tradespeople.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a safe job site by implementing and enforcing strict health and safety procedures .
- Operate and manage various hand and power tools and machinery.
- Inspect work performed by crew members and provide guidance and training as needed.
- Coordinate with Site Managers and other supervisors on project progress and resource requirements.
- Report daily on work progress, issues encountered, and safety concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Solid understanding of construction processes, techniques, and materials.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations on construction sites.
- Ability to operate a variety of construction equipment and tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
- A valid CSCS card or equivalent certification is required.
