Forensic Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Forensic Accountant to join their specialist team in Wolverhampton . This role involves investigating financial irregularities, fraud, and complex financial disputes. You will apply your accounting expertise to gather evidence, analyze financial data, and prepare detailed reports for legal proceedings or internal investigations. The successful candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings clearly and concisely, contributing to the integrity and security of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into financial fraud, asset misappropriation, and other financial crimes.
• Analyze financial records, transactions, and systems to identify anomalies and patterns of misconduct.
• Gather and preserve evidence in a manner suitable for legal proceedings.
• Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings, methodologies, and conclusions.
• Provide expert witness testimony in court when required.
• Collaborate with legal teams, law enforcement, and other stakeholders throughout investigations.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with specific experience or qualification in forensic accounting.
• Demonstrated experience in fraud investigation, litigation support, or dispute resolution.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
• Strong report-writing skills and the ability to present complex information clearly.
