Forensic Accountant

About the Role

Our client is searching for an experienced Forensic Accountant to join their specialist team, operating remotely. This role requires a sharp, investigative mind to uncover financial irregularities, fraud, and other forms of financial misconduct. You will conduct detailed investigations, analyse complex financial data, and prepare expert reports for legal proceedings and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed forensic accounting investigations into suspected fraud, embezzlement, and financial disputes.
• Analyze complex financial records, transaction trails, and data to identify evidence of wrongdoing.
• Prepare comprehensive and objective forensic accounting reports, often for litigation support.
• Assist legal counsel in case strategy, providing expert testimony in court when required.
• Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies and controls.
• Liaise with law enforcement agencies, regulatory bodies, and other external parties as needed.

Requirements

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience in forensic accounting.
• Proven track record in investigating financial crime, fraud, or disputes.
• Expertise in financial data analysis, reconstruction, and tracing illicit funds.
• Familiarity with legal procedures and experience in providing expert witness testimony is advantageous.
• Exceptional analytical skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
