Forklift Driver - Counterbalance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Driver , specifically with counterbalance skills, to join their busy warehouse operations in Plymouth . In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklift trucks to move, load, unload, and store materials and goods. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the flow of inventory within the warehouse, ensuring materials are stored correctly and readily available for dispatch. Key Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently to move goods around the warehouse.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles, ensuring correct handling of all items.
• Store materials in designated areas, ensuring accurate placement and organization.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is safe to use.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately to supervision.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required, such as order picking and packing.

Requirements

• Valid and in-date counterbalance forklift truck operator's license.
• Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse or industrial setting.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to forklift operation.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain accurate records.
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling when required in Plymouth .
