Counterbalance Forklift Driver

As a Forklift Driver in Wolverhampton, you will operate a counterbalance truck to move fencing steel, load and unload wagons, and maintain an organised yard. Working Monday to Friday from 06:00 to 14:30, this full-time position pays £13.50 per hour.

Your duties include handling heavy materials securely, following all site safety protocols, and contributing to a tidy working environment. You must hold a valid counterbalance licence and bring prior experience in a similar role. Based at WV10, this position suits someone accustomed to physical work within a busy yard setting. You will collaborate with colleagues to ensure tasks are completed correctly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
• Moving and handling steels and other heavy materials
• Loading and unloading wagons correctly and safely
• Ensuring loads are secure and handled with care
• Following all site health & safety procedures
• Working as part of a busy yard and warehouse team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working area

Requirements

• Valid and relevant Counterbalance Forklift licence
• Previous experience handling steel, fencing materials or similar heavy goods preferred
• Experience loading and unloading wagons
• Good awareness of workplace health & safety
• Reliable, punctual and able to work Monday to Friday
• Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
