Forklift Truck Driver / Telehandler Operator (Rail Engineering)
- Location: Sherburn in Elmet
- Job Type: Guaranteed Hours Contract (Minimum 40 hours/week, PAYE or Umbrella)
- Shift Pattern: 4-on-4-off shift pattern
- Pay Rates:
- Days: £14.50 / hour
- Nights: £15.25 / hour
- Weekends: £16.00 / hour
About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Forklift Truck Driver / Telehandler Operator to join a busy rail engineering parts stores facility in Sherburn in Elmet. Working on a structured 4-on-4-off shift pattern, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a dynamic warehouse environment and wants guaranteed weekly hours with competitive shift premiums.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate FLT and telehandler equipment to move materials and lift pallets across the site.
- Assist within the warehouse and stores environment during peak times.
- Work collaboratively with team members and other drivers to ensure efficient material handling.
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries of equipment and materials.
- Prepare, kit, and stage components to ensure engineering teams are fully equipped before works begin.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment in line with site health and safety standards.
Role Requirements
- Valid, in-date FLT Licence with verifiable training evidence/certificate.
- Telehandler experience or ticket is highly advantageous.
- Previous forklift experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or stores environment is preferred.
- A proactive, positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety and ability to adapt to a 4-on-4-off rota
