Forklift Truck Driver (Reach & Counterbalance)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join their busy warehouse operations in Southampton . You will be responsible for operating reach and counterbalance forklift trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The role demands adherence to strict safety protocols and efficient handling of goods to ensure smooth warehouse flow and accurate inventory management, playing a crucial part in the day-to-day operational efficiency of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate reach and counterbalance forklift trucks safely and efficiently to move materials.
• Load and unload goods from trucks and containers.
• Store and retrieve stock in designated warehouse locations.
• Perform regular checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
• Assist with inventory management tasks, including stocktaking and maintaining accurate records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.

Requirements

• Valid and in-date forklift truck licenses for both reach and counterbalance trucks.
• Proven experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse environment.
• Good understanding of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and manual handling.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Good communication skills.
