About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Formulation Development Scientist to join their cutting-edge research team in Bradford . This role is critical for designing and developing robust and effective pharmaceutical formulations for a range of therapeutic areas. You will be involved in the entire formulation lifecycle, from conceptualization and pre-formulation studies to scale-up and technology transfer. Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experimental studies to develop novel oral and parenteral drug formulations.
- Perform pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility assessments.
- Utilize various excipients and drug delivery technologies to optimize formulation performance.
- Characterize formulations using techniques such as particle size analysis, dissolution testing, and microscopy.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for formulation analysis.
- Collaborate with analytical development, process development, and manufacturing teams for seamless scale-up and tech transfer.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development .
- Strong knowledge of formulation principles, drug delivery systems, and material science.
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment used in formulation development and characterization.
- Experience with scale-up activities and technology transfer processes.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and scientific communication skills.
