About the Role
Our client is seeking an innovative Formulation Scientist to join their drug development team in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on the design, development, and optimization of pharmaceutical dosage forms, from early-stage research to clinical trial material production. You will be responsible for creating stable, effective, and patient-friendly formulations, utilizing a wide array of scientific knowledge and advanced technologies. This is an exciting opportunity for a scientist passionate about bringing new medicines to patients through expertly crafted formulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel pharmaceutical formulations for various routes of administration (e.g., oral, injectable, topical).
- Conduct pre-formulation studies to understand drug substance properties and compatibility.
- Perform stability testing and pharmacokinetic evaluations of developed formulations.
- Utilize various excipients and formulation technologies to optimize drug delivery and bioavailability.
- Collaborate with analytical development, process development, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful scale-up.
- Document all experimental procedures, results, and conclusions in comprehensive reports for regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical formulation development , with a strong understanding of drug delivery systems.
- Hands-on experience with various analytical techniques for characterizing drug products.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for drug product development and manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to share findings effectively across the organization in West Midlands .
