Formulation Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Formulation Scientist to join their pioneering drug development team. This fully remote role will focus on the design, development, and optimization of novel drug delivery systems and formulations to enhance therapeutic efficacy and patient compliance. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of experts, utilizing advanced scientific knowledge and innovative techniques to bring new pharmaceutical products from concept to clinical trial readiness. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative pharmaceutical formulations for various dosage forms (e.g., oral, injectable, topical).
• Conduct pre-formulation studies to understand the physical and chemical properties of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
• Optimize formulation composition and manufacturing processes to achieve desired drug release profiles and stability.
• Develop and validate analytical methods for formulation characterization and quality control.
• Troubleshoot formulation and process-related issues encountered during development.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for research reports, patent applications, and regulatory submissions.

Requirements

• PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Expertise in various drug delivery technologies and formulation techniques.
• Proficiency in analytical techniques such as HPLC, DSC, TGA, and dissolution testing.
• Strong understanding of physical chemistry, materials science, and pharmaceutical product development.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proven track record of innovation in formulation science, with the ability to work effectively remotely.
