Forward Deployed Engineer, Security Clearance – NATO

• Understand defence and security users' situational-awareness and force-protection needs and scope solutions
• Design, build and deploy Palantir Foundry data pipelines, ontology models and operator-facing applications
• Integrate live intelligence into workflows, common operating pictures and command-and-control tooling
• Build and tune custom widgets as needed
• Own solutions end to end, from initial whiteboard sketch to operations centre
• Debug infrastructure, networking and application issues across the stack in restricted, disconnected or on-premise settings
• Advise customer engineers and operators and relay feedback into the product
• Travel to customer sites and operations centres in Europe approximately 25%–75% of the time
• Work remotely with trips to Mons, Belgium, three days on site every second week

Requirements

• Strong engineering background — computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics or something equally technical
• Hands-on Palantir Foundry work: pipelines, ontology, Compute Modules, Code Repositories and Workbooks, application development
• Fluency in at least one of Python, Java, SQL, TypeScript or JavaScript, Bash, Go
• Three years or more of professional software or forward-deployed / solutions engineering experience, shipping systems into production
• Ability to quickly learn an unfamiliar platform architecture and data model and reason about technical decisions' operational impact
• Experience with containers (Docker or Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes or OpenShift)
• Solid Linux, networking and on-premise fundamentals
• Ease with technical and non-technical stakeholders and shifting objectives
• Willingness to travel and work on site in secure customer facilities
• Candidates must have the right to work in the EU, or be UK-based
• Security clearance required
