Freight Forwarder

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Freight Forwarder to manage international and domestic shipments for their clients in Liverpool . This role requires a deep understanding of global shipping regulations, customs procedures, and various modes of transport. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Key Responsibilities

• Arrange and coordinate the shipment of goods via air, sea, and road freight.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including customs declarations and bills of lading.
• Liaise with carriers, agents, and clients to ensure smooth transit and delivery.
• Track shipments and provide timely updates to clients on their cargo status.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs laws, and safety standards.
• Manage freight costs, negotiate rates with carriers, and resolve any billing discrepancies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Freight Forwarder or in a similar international logistics role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international shipping procedures, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
• Experience with various freight forwarding software and documentation.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Good understanding of global warehousing and supply chain principles.
