Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

Location: Home Based / Flexible Salary: Up to £70,000 + Generous Commission + Car Allowance + Benefits

An established independent freight forwarder is looking to appoint an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition across the UK.

This is a genuine new business sales role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and winning profitable freight business. You'll have the freedom to develop your own market, backed by an experienced commercial and operational team who will take care of accounts once they're won - leaving you to focus on what you do best: selling.

The opportunity

You'll be joining a well-established, agile forwarder with quick decision-making, strong operational support and the flexibility to put together competitive, solutions-led propositions for customers.

The business has particular strength within Deep Sea freight and UK exports into Africa and the Middle East, while also offering the scope to develop Import, Project Freight and other international forwarding opportunities.

What we're looking for

Proven success winning new freight forwarding business Strong Deep Sea / international freight knowledge A genuine hunter mentality with the ability to generate your own pipeline Existing relationships or opportunities you can develop would be highly advantageous Commercial, solutions-focused approach to selling Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously from home

Package

Basic salary up to £60,000 DOE Generous commission structure Car allowance Pension, holiday and additional benefits
