Full Stack Developer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a versatile and experienced Full Stack Developer to join their innovative team, working from their Edinburgh office. This role requires a broad range of technical skills, encompassing both front-end and back-end development to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable web applications. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to implementation and deployment. This hybrid role offers a collaborative office environment with the flexibility of remote work, enabling you to contribute effectively to exciting projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using a combination of front-end and back-end technologies.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and database solutions to support application functionality.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code across the full stack, ensuring high quality and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to deliver features that meet user needs.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.
• Proficiency in relevant front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue).
• Strong experience with back-end languages and frameworks (e.g., Python/Django, Node.js/Express, Java/Spring, Ruby/Rails).
• Experience with database management (SQL and/or NoSQL) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challenges.
