In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality software across both front-end and back-end services, working as part of a cross-functional team alongside Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow engineers. You'll combine hands‑on development with input into technical decisions, helping shape solutions that align with engineering standards and long‑term platform goals.
The core tech stack is TypeScript , React , and NestJS , deployed via containerised environments into Microsoft Azure . There's also a strong emphasis on leveraging AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code ) and integrating AI-driven capabilities into products and workflows.
What you'll be doing:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining front‑end and back‑end components of web applications
- Collaborating with Product, UX, and engineering teams to deliver user‑focused solutions
- Translating requirements into scalable, maintainable, well‑structured code
- Ensuring applications meet performance, reliability, and security standards
- Participating in code reviews and contributing to coding standards
- Supporting technical decision‑making in line with architectural best practices
- Contributing to testing, debugging, and troubleshooting
- Working within Agile delivery frameworks (planning, refinement, retrospectives)
- Helping improve development processes, tooling, and automation
- Using AI‑assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality
What we're looking for:
- Strong experience with modern front‑end frameworks (e.g. React) and associated libraries
- Proficiency in TypeScript, with experience building server‑side applications
- Experience with back‑end frameworks such as NestJS, Spring Boot, or similar
- Working knowledge of databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
- Understanding of API design, RESTful services, and microservices architecture
- Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS also beneficial)
- Solid grasp of software engineering best practices, including testing and code quality
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, comfortable working across technical and non‑technical teams
- Experience with AI‑assisted development tools, or a genuine interest in adopting AI within modern software development
The details:
- Working model: Mostly remote, with one day a month required in the London office
