Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer – React / Node.js
£60,000 | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | London | Hybrid – 2 days onsite near Farringdon, London
We’re working with a healthcare-focused organisation that develops digital products designed to make complex healthcare information more accessible and useful.
They’re looking for a Mid-Level Full Stack Engineer to join their engineering team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is a full-stack position with a strong front-end lean , primarily working across existing products, delivering enhancements and BAU development while the wider team focuses on a major new digital platform.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and enhancing existing web applications, with a strong focus on front-end development
- Building features using React and related frameworks
- Supporting backend development within a Node.js environment
- Working closely with Product, UX/UI and QA teams to take user stories through development, testing and release
- Writing and improving unit and integration tests
- Working within an environment where quality, testing and reliability are prioritised over simply shipping quickly
- Contributing to applications hosted within Microsoft Azure
What we're looking for
- Around 3+ years’ commercial software engineering experience
- Strong experience with React (any framework)
- Full-stack development experience with Node.js
- Good understanding of software testing and engineering quality (TDD-style)
- Experience with unit and/or integration testing
