Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Technical Lead – Digital Banking

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer / Technical Lead to join a major digital banking technology programme in London.

This is a hands‑on role requiring strong experience across Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and React , alongside Oracle Database and Azure cloud deployment . You will also provide technical leadership, contribute to solution architecture and help drive high-quality delivery across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js and React .
• Contribute to and review solution architectures, technical designs and implementation approaches .
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams.
• Drive engineering standards, coding best practices and overall solution quality.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Business Stakeholders, Enterprise Architects and Delivery Teams .
• Support engineering teams throughout the end-to-end delivery lifecycle.
• Contribute to large-scale digital banking transformation and migration programmes .
• Develop and integrate APIs, microservices and cloud-native solutions.
• Work with Oracle Database and Azure deployment platforms.
• Contribute to event-driven solutions using Kafka where required.
• Hands‑on Azure experience, ideally with Azure CNE .
• Strong API and microservices experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience providing technical leadership, design review and engineering guidance.
• Digital Banking experience.
• Kafka .
• TypeScript .
• GCP experience.
• Cloud-native architecture.
• CI/CD, DevOps and containerisation experience.
