Job Title :Functional Skills Tutor – Maths and English
Location :Centre based
Salary £35,000 – £40,000 (Depending on skills and experience)
Type :Full-time, Permanent
Essential Criteria :
- Hold – or be willing to work towards – a Level 5 Teaching qualification.
- Experience of delivering Functional Skills MathsOREnglish up to Level 2.
- Must hold own Level 3 qualification in Maths and/or English.
- Must have experience of delivering training to small groups of learners
- Strong admin skills (ILPs, progress tracking and monitoring)
Duties :
- Deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths and/or Englishsessions within a classroom environment (up to Level 2).Utiliseexisting delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
- Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
- The successful candidate will be flexible with their delivery methods, providing differentiation and be able to adapt quickly to learners needs.
- Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
- The successful candidate must be engaging and able to demonstrate energy and passion to motivate / train clients in order to help learners realisetheir potential.
