Prospero Teaching is recruiting motivated Functional Skills Tutors to deliver engaging 1:1 tuition across Sefton. You'll support learners working towards Functional Skills English and Maths qualifications, adapting your teaching to suit individual abilities and helping students build confidence in essential literacy and numeracy skills.

• Position: Functional Skills Tutor
• Hours: 5-15 hours per week
• Start Date: September 2026
• Duration: Ongoing

Experience, Training and Qualifications

We're looking for tutors who have:

• Experience delivering Functional Skills English and/or Maths
• Relevant teaching or tutoring experience
• Strong communication skills
• A positive, learner-focused approach

To be eligible, you must:

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one
• Provide two professional references
