About the Role
Our client, a dedicated organisation in the Charity & Voluntary sector , is seeking an organised and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to provide crucial support to their fundraising team in Portsmouth . This role is fundamental in ensuring the smooth operation of fundraising activities, assisting with donor engagement, event coordination, and administrative tasks. You will play an integral part in helping the charity meet its financial goals, enabling them to continue their vital work. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and events.
- Provide administrative support to the fundraising team, including managing databases and correspondence.
- Process donations accurately and promptly, issuing thank you letters and receipts to donors.
- Support the management of donor relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
- Assist with the preparation of fundraising reports and presentations.
- Help maintain the fundraising database (CRM) ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
Requirements
- Previous administrative experience, preferably within a fundraising or Charity & Voluntary sector environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a polite and professional demeanour.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine interest in the work of the organisation and the Charity & Voluntary sector .
