About the Role
Our client, a charity supporting local heritage initiatives, is seeking a highly organised and motivated Fundraising Assistant to support their development team in Norwich . This role is crucial in assisting with the execution of fundraising campaigns and donor stewardship activities. The position involves a hybrid working model, offering a mix of remote administrative tasks and in-office collaboration. You will be instrumental in processing donations, maintaining donor records, and providing administrative support for fundraising events and appeals. Key Responsibilities
- Process donations accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely acknowledgements are sent to donors.
- Maintain and update the donor database, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide administrative support for fundraising events, including registration, logistics, and follow-up.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of fundraising materials, such as appeal letters and newsletters.
- Conduct research on potential donors and funding opportunities.
- Respond to donor inquiries and provide excellent donor care.
- Support the broader fundraising team with various administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Previous administrative or office support experience.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with CRM or donor databases is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn about fundraising.
