Fundraising Director

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and strategic Fundraising Director to lead all fundraising activities for their organisation, working remotely. This senior leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy across all income streams, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, community, and digital fundraising. You will manage a talented team, cultivate key relationships with major donors and stakeholders, and ensure the organisation meets its ambitious financial targets to support its vital mission. This is a pivotal role for an experienced leader to drive significant growth and impact from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy to achieve ambitious income targets.
• Oversee and manage all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, corporate, trust, community, and digital channels.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire the fundraising team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and key philanthropic stakeholders.
• Develop and manage the overall fundraising budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximum return on investment.
• Represent the organisation at high-level events, meetings, and conferences to promote fundraising efforts.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in senior fundraising roles, with a proven track record of success across multiple income streams.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies at a strategic level.
• Exceptional leadership, team management, and motivational skills.
• Strong understanding of prospect research, donor cultivation, and stewardship best practices.
• Excellent financial acumen and budget management skills.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a remote leadership capacity.
