Fundraising Events Coordinator

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic charity organisation, is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Fundraising Events Coordinator to join their team in Southampton . This role is essential for the planning, execution, and evaluation of a variety of fundraising events, from sponsored walks and community fetes to larger corporate-led challenges. You will work closely with the fundraising team and external suppliers to ensure events are delivered to a high standard, maximise income, and enhance the charity's profile within the Southampton area. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about events and making a tangible difference through charitable work.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning and delivery of a diverse calendar of fundraising events across various scales and formats.
• Manage event logistics, including venue sourcing, supplier liaison, budget tracking, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate event marketing and promotion efforts to maximise attendee and donor participation.
• Liaise with participants, volunteers, and sponsors before, during, and after events, ensuring a positive experience.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of event materials and facilities on event days.
• Accurately record event income and expenditure, and support post-event evaluation and reporting.

Requirements

• Previous experience in event coordination or administration, preferably within a fundraising or charity setting.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with event management software is a plus.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules.
