About the Role

Our client is looking for an inspirational and visionary Game Director to lead the creative vision and development of exciting new titles from their studio in Plymouth . You will be responsible for defining the overall game experience, from concept to launch, ensuring artistic integrity, player engagement, and commercial success. This senior leadership role requires a deep understanding of game design, production, and a proven track record of delivering critically acclaimed titles.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and champion the overall creative vision and direction for game projects.
• Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, including design, art, programming, and production.
• Oversee all aspects of game development, ensuring alignment with the creative vision and project goals.
• Make critical decisions regarding gameplay, narrative, art style, and technical implementation.
• Manage budgets, schedules, and resources to deliver high-quality games on time and within scope in Plymouth .

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in game development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role such as Game Director, Creative Director, or Lead Designer.
• Proven experience shipping successful titles across multiple platforms.
• Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and player psychology.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals.
