About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly observant and dedicated Games Tester to join their fully remote quality assurance team. This role is essential for maintaining the exceptional quality of our games. You will be responsible for systematically testing new game builds, identifying and documenting defects, and providing critical feedback to the development team to ensure a flawless player experience. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough testing of game features, systems, and user interfaces according to established test plans.
- Accurately report bugs with detailed descriptions, steps to reproduce, and severity assessments using bug tracking software.
- Perform regression testing to ensure that bug fixes do not negatively impact other game functionalities.
- Communicate findings and provide feedback to developers and designers in a clear and concise manner via remote channels.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of test cases and documentation.
Requirements
- Experience in a Games Tester role or a comparable quality assurance position.
- Understanding of game design principles and common technical issues in video games.
- Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and test case management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities for remote work.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain focus in a remote setting .
