About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a dedicated Games Tester to join their dispersed, highly skilled team. This position is integral to delivering polished and engaging gaming experiences. As a remote team member, you will be responsible for rigorously testing pre-release game builds, identifying defects, and providing critical feedback to development teams. You will play a vital role in the quality assurance cycle, ensuring that our client's games meet the highest standards of performance, stability, and player satisfaction, all while enjoying the flexibility of a remote-first work setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test cases and ad-hoc exploratory testing to uncover bugs and design flaws.
- Document all discovered defects with clarity, including reproduction steps, severity, and priority.
- Collaborate remotely with developers and designers via project management tools to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide insightful feedback on game mechanics, difficulty balancing, and overall player experience.
- Conduct various types of testing, including regression, compatibility, and stress testing.
- Maintain and update test documentation as the game evolves through development cycles.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a QA testing role, preferably within the video game industry.
- A deep understanding of common gaming platforms and game development processes.
- Proficiency in bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla) and test management tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Self-motivated with excellent communication skills, capable of thriving in a fully remote environment .
