Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and thorough Games Tester to join their distributed quality assurance team on a contract basis. As a remote tester, you will be instrumental in discovering and reporting defects, ensuring that our games meet the highest standards of quality before launch. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and the chance to contribute to a variety of exciting game projects from anywhere within the United Kingdom .

Key Responsibilities

• Execute detailed test cases for new game features and updates.
• Report defects with comprehensive details, including reproduction steps and severity.
• Perform usability testing to evaluate player experience and identify areas for improvement.
• Verify the functionality and stability of game builds across specified platforms.
• Liaise with the QA Lead and development team to clarify testing requirements and report findings.
• Contribute to test plan creation and refinement.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Games Tester role or similar quality assurance position.
• Familiarity with game development processes and bug tracking software .
• Keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to articulate technical issues and feedback effectively in writing.
• A passion for gaming and a desire to ensure exceptional player experiences.
• Must be able to work autonomously in a remote setup across the UK .
