Games Tester

About the Role

Our client requires a sharp and dedicated Games Tester to join their innovative, entirely remote team. This position is critical for upholding the quality and integrity of their game releases. As a remote contractor, you will be responsible for rigorously testing game builds, identifying defects, and providing constructive feedback to the development team. Key Responsibilities

• Execute test cases and ad-hoc testing to uncover bugs and design flaws in game software.
• Clearly document and report all identified issues, providing detailed steps for reproduction.
• Assess the overall gameplay experience, including usability, performance, and entertainment value.
• Perform regression testing to ensure bug fixes are effective and do not introduce new problems.
• Collaborate with project managers and developers through online platforms to provide timely feedback.
• Adhere to project timelines and quality standards set for each game release.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to meticulously test software applications, specifically video games.
• Proficiency with bug tracking systems and test case management tools.
• Excellent written communication skills, essential for accurate bug reporting.
• A strong understanding of gaming platforms and common game mechanics.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain high productivity in a remote environment.
• Previous experience as a Games Tester or in a similar QA role is preferred.
