Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Games Tester to become an integral part of their fully remote Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring that our client's games meet the highest standards of quality and player satisfaction before launch. You'll dive deep into game mechanics, identify bugs, and provide constructive feedback that drives improvements. This position is ideal for someone passionate about gaming who excels at detailed analysis and can communicate effectively within a virtual team environment, contributing to the creation of truly memorable gaming experiences from their home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute detailed test plans and scripts to identify software defects.
• Report bugs clearly and concisely, including steps to reproduce, severity, and priority.
• Perform regression testing to ensure the stability of game builds.
• Test various aspects of games, including gameplay, graphics, audio, and user interface.
• Collaborate remotely with developers and designers to resolve identified issues.
• Provide feedback on game balance, difficulty, and overall player experience.

Requirements

• Previous professional experience as a Games Tester or in a similar QA role.
• Understanding of the game development process and various testing techniques.
• Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
• Keen eye for detail and a passion for playing and analyzing video games.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively in a remote setting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
