About the Role
Our client is seeking an eager and perceptive Games Tester to join their innovative, fully remote development studio focusing on the Gaming & Esports industry. This role is critical for ensuring that every game we release meets our exacting standards for polish, functionality, and fun. You will be responsible for rigorously testing game builds, identifying, and reporting defects, and collaborating with the development team to ensure a seamless player experience. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about games and possess a keen eye for detail, all while enjoying the benefits of a completely remote work setup within the UK .
Key Responsibilities
- Execute detailed test plans and ad-hoc testing scenarios on diverse game titles.
- Accurately report and track defects using our designated bug-tracking system, providing clear and concise information.
- Verify bug fixes implemented by the development team and perform regression testing.
- Provide feedback on game balance, difficulty, and overall player engagement.
- Work closely with designers and programmers to understand game features and testing requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes and methodologies in a remote setting.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Games Tester or in a related QA role is preferred.
- Solid understanding of game development lifecycles and the role of Quality Assurance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with common gaming genres and platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective remote teamwork.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
