Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and thorough Games Tester to join their expanding remote QA department. You will be responsible for rigorously testing pre-release game builds, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality before launch. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of player experience will be invaluable in identifying defects and providing actionable feedback. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive testing of game features, mechanics, and user interfaces according to defined test plans.
• Report defects clearly and concisely, including steps to reproduce, severity, and impact.
• Verify bug fixes implemented by the development team through regression testing.
• Provide subjective feedback on game design, difficulty, and overall player enjoyment.
• Maintain detailed records of testing activities and progress.
• Communicate effectively with remote team members to share findings and discuss potential issues.

Requirements

• Previous experience in game testing or QA, even personal projects, is highly regarded.
• A strong understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with common gaming platforms (PC, consoles, mobile).
• Excellent observational skills and a commitment to thoroughness.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, for bug reporting.
