About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Games Tester to join their dynamic team, contributing to the quality assurance of exciting new video game releases. This role is critical in identifying and documenting bugs, ensuring a polished and enjoyable player experience. Working remotely, you will be an integral part of the development cycle, providing essential feedback that directly impacts the final product. Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases to identify, isolate, and document software defects.
- Report bugs and gameplay issues clearly and concisely, including steps to reproduce, using designated bug-tracking software.
- Verify bug fixes implemented by the development team and conduct regression testing.
- Provide detailed feedback on game mechanics, balance, usability, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to understand game features and test objectives, participating in remote team syncs and discussions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Games Tester or in a similar quality assurance role within the gaming industry.
- Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile) and a broad range of game genres.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting bugs and providing feedback.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a systematic approach to testing.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
