Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and precise Games Tester to join their distributed Quality Assurance team. This is a fully remote position where you'll contribute significantly to the polish and success of our video game releases. Your primary focus will be on discovering and reporting bugs, ensuring that every aspect of the game functions as intended and provides an engaging player experience. You'll be an essential link between the QA team and the developers, working collaboratively to achieve the highest quality standards from your home office.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute detailed test cases to thoroughly evaluate game functionality, stability, and user experience.
• Identify, document, and track defects using designated bug tracking software, providing clear reproduction steps.
• Provide constructive feedback to the development team on game mechanics, difficulty, and overall design.
• Perform regression testing on updated builds to confirm bug fixes and assess potential side effects.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and team meetings to report progress and discuss any blockers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a Games Tester or Quality Assurance role is essential.
• A genuine passion for video games and a comprehensive understanding of game design.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform systematic and repetitive tasks.
• Proficiency in using bug tracking tools like Jira or similar systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
