About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Games Tester to join their entirely remote team, contributing to the quality assurance of cutting-edge video games. You will be instrumental in identifying and reporting defects, ensuring a polished and engaging player experience across various titles. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and ad-hoc testing to identify bugs, glitches, and functional issues in game builds.
- Accurately report and track defects using bug-tracking software, providing detailed descriptions and reproduction steps.
- Perform regression testing to confirm that resolved defects are fixed and do not re-emerge.
- Provide qualitative feedback on gameplay, difficulty balancing, and user interface elements.
- Communicate effectively with developers and project managers regarding test progress and encountered issues.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and testing techniques relevant to the Gaming & Esports sector.
Requirements
- Previous experience in game testing or quality assurance is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in documenting findings clearly and concisely.
- Must be self-motivated and able to maintain productivity in a remote work setting.
- A keen interest in a wide range of video games and an understanding of player expectations.
