Games Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Games Tester on a contract basis to join their remote quality assurance team. You will be responsible for the comprehensive testing of new game builds, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality before release. This role requires a sharp eye for detail and a passion for gaming, offering a flexible, fully remote working arrangement from any UK location. Your contributions will be vital in refining gameplay experiences and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute assigned test cases and perform exploratory testing to identify software defects.
• Accurately document all bugs found, including steps to reproduce, environmental details, and severity.
• Communicate bug reports clearly and concisely to the development team.
• Conduct regression testing to verify the successful implementation of bug fixes.
• Provide feedback on game balance, usability, and overall player experience.
• Contribute to test documentation and knowledge base as needed.

Requirements

• Prior experience in Games Testing or a similar QA role.
• A strong interest in video games and familiarity with different gaming platforms and genres.
• Proficiency in using bug tracking systems such as Bugzilla or JIRA.
• Excellent written communication skills for detailed bug reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote capacity.
• A methodical approach to testing and problem-solving.
